Know what’s really in your cat’s food.

Scan the barcode on a bag of cat food and instantly see its nutrition — including the carbohydrate content the label doesn’t print.

How it works

01

Scan the barcode

Point your camera at the barcode on the bag. Scanning happens on your device, and the product is looked up in Foocat’s catalog.

02

Snap the label

Product not in the catalog yet? Photograph the analytical constituents on the label and Foocat reads the values for you.

03

See the carbs

Labels list protein, fat, fibre, moisture and ash — but not carbohydrates. Foocat calculates them for you, so you can compare foods at a glance.

04

Trust the data

New products are verified by multiple independent submissions before they join the shared catalog everyone sees.

Why carbohydrates?

Cats are obligate carnivores — their natural diet is almost free of carbohydrates. Many dry foods still contain a lot of them, and the label won’t tell you how much. Foocat makes that number visible so you can choose with your eyes open.
