- Your device and OS version (e.g. iPhone 15, iOS 18 or Pixel 8, Android 15)
- The app version (find it on the app’s settings/about screen)
- What you were doing and what went wrong — a screenshot helps a lot
Frequently asked questions
The scanner won’t read a barcode
- Make sure Foocat has permission to use the camera (device Settings → Foocat → Camera).
- Give the barcode good, even lighting and hold steady until it focuses.
- If a specific product never scans, the barcode may not be in our database yet — email us the barcode number and we’ll look into adding it.
Nutrition info is missing or looks wrong
Product data comes from label scans and community submissions, and can occasionally be incomplete or out of date. Send us the product name and barcode and we’ll correct it.
How do I change the language?
Foocat follows your device language and supports Swedish and English. Change your phone’s language and Foocat will follow.
